The Czech Republic’s One World International Human Rights Festival opened on Mar. 11, featuring three Taiwanese films – documentaries “SPI” and “Slave Island,” as well as feature film “Yen and Ai-Lee.”
The Thailand Biennale 2025, opening through Apr. 30, features Taiwan-based Malaysian film director Tsai Ming-liang and Taiwanese new media artist Wu Chi-yu. 
The Taiwan Cultural Center in Paris, in collaboration with CENTQUATRE-PARIS, Kaohsiung Film Archive, the French Office in Taipei, and France’s National Centre for Cinema and Moving Image (CNC), presents Villa Formose Immersive.

To support local creators and libraries, the Ministry of Culture (MOC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the National Central Library, launched the Public Lending Right Registration Service in 2025.

The National Tainan Living Art Center hosted a workshop on traditional Indigenous wedding ceremonies on Apr. 11 at the Gaoshi Shrine (formerly known as Kuskus Shrine) in Kuskus Village, Pingtung County.

The National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts invited renowned international sound artist Bill Fontana as artist-in-residence from Mar. 23 to Apr. 12, during which he traveled to various sites across Taiwan to collect sounds. 
Cultural Features
Born in Hsinchu County in 1940, Fu worked on the farm with his father as a child. At the age of 16, he embarked on an apprenticeship under Hakka mason Lin Shu-kun and became independent at 20. Having participated in the restoration of various structures, Fu developed into a highly skilled artisan.

In 1895, Japanese businessman Shotaro Okamura left his hometown of Osaka and came to a military camp in Tainan to do business. The Japanese who came to Taiwan at that time were all amazed by the deliciousness of the local tropical fruits, especially the pineapples.
