Under the support of the Ministry of Culture and the Council of Indigenous Peoples, Australia's 10th Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art will be presenting "Between Earth and Sky: Indigenous Contemporary Art from Taiwan" at the Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art from Dec. 4 until April 25, 2022.

The Taiwan music, film, and live project Small Island Big Song brought together 15 musicians from 10 island nations of the Pacific and Indian Oceans during the pandemic to convey the tragedy of ocean pollution through remote collaboration.

Taiwanese films advance into India > Until May 31

For the first time, the Ministry of Culture leveraged an OTT platform to broadcast high-quality Taiwanese films in India, encouraging Indian audiences to learn about Taiwan through films and increase their interest in Taiwan. The selected films will demonstrate the diversity and richness in the culture of Taiwan.

Announcement of Fulbright grant recipients

Fulbright-Taiwan Ministry of Culture, Arts Professionals Grants, sponsored by Taiwan Ministry of Culture and U.S. Department of State, released the 1st-cohort official grantee list for Academic Year 2022, which was just approved by the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board.

Six Taiwanese illustrators stand out at Bologna Book Fair

Six illustrators from Taiwan, including Ballboss (Chou I-hsien), Huang Yi-wen, Lin Lian-en, Page Tsou, Chen Yin-ju and Yu Chih-chu, were chosen for inclusion in the Illustrators Exhibition, which was held from Mar. 21 through 24 concurrently with the 59th edition of the Bologna Children’s Book Fair.

Culture Minister mourns the passing of actor Ku Pao-ming

Veteran Taiwanese actor Ku Pao-ming passed away on Mar. 19 at the age of 72. Ku had a lifelong passion for acting and was active in television shows, movies, and stage plays, and was recognized with Golden Bell and Golden Horse awards for his outstanding achievements.

Chang Show-foong has been honored with a number of literary awards, including the Zhongshan Literary Award, the National Award for Arts, the Wu San Lien Literary Award, the China Times Literature Award, and the United Daily News Prize. She was also previously named one of the Ten Outstanding Young Women, and in 2012, she was elected to the Legislative Yuan.

Gangbin Historical Park | Greetings from the Whale

"Greetings from the Whale" is the most famous landmark in Tainan’s Gangbin Historical Park. Standing 23 meters long, ten meters wide, and eight meters high, the most impressive aspect of the whole work is that not a single pillar or rivet was used in the construction process. A piece of installation art that looks like it leaped from the pages of a fairytale, the whale sits quietly next to the small fishing port with an air of vibrancy and romance.
