The 2020 Taiwan Literature Festival in Tokyo, an annual event showcasing works of Taiwanese poets and writers, will cast light on works from Yang Mu and Lo Fu, two late towering figures who have profound impact on Taiwan's literary scene.
"Ciao Taiwan," the 15th Taiwan Arts Festival, held from Oct. 9 through Nov. 22 in Hong Kong, will have a plethora of performances and online events that reflect the unlimited potential of connecting Taiwan and Hong Kong through boundary-less arts.
Four Taiwanese artists are set to present a collaborative media art project at CYNETART, an international festival of media art on selected days from October through December in Dresden, Germany.

Architecture Award bestowed to Kaohsiung arts center
The National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts has won an accolade in the Culture and Museums category of the 2020 International Architecture Awards, organized by Chicago Athenaeum, an honor that celebrates remarkable architecture worldwide.
President Tsai honors late historian Chuang Yung-ming
President Tsai Ing-wen honored the late Taiwanese historian Chuang Yung-ming, conferring a presidential citation upon him, which was accepted on Chuang's behalf by his eldest daughter, Chuang Shu-ting, at a memorial service held at the Taipei Zhongshan Hall.

Zhuang Jin-cai is a musician in the beiguan style. He first joined a troupe at the age of 13, proving proficient at wind, string, and percussion instruments alike, with the veterans in the troupe praising him as someone who could do it all.

Wang Jin-ying, whose real name is Wang Jen-hsin, has a distinctive koa-á-hì career that spanned decades. In recognition to her long-term dedication of giving the nation's intangible heritage the exposure it so deserves, Wang was bestowed the title of "National Living Treasure" by the Ministry of Culture in January 2020.
