The Filmosa Festival - Taiwan film festival will take place in Paris through Sept. 26. The film festival is composed of three major categories – "Picks of the Year," "History of Taiwan-Japan Ties," and "Taiwanese Queer Cinema."
TaiwanFest2020, a month-long event dedicated to promoting Taiwanese culture in Canada, kicked off online with the theme "The Survived" to inspire change through arts during these challenging times.
"Days" the latest cinematic work by Taiwan-based Malaysian director Tsai Ming-liang, has been selected for the main lineup of the 58th New York Film Festival from Sept. 17 to Oct. 11, 2020.

Taiwan International Human Rights Film Festival kicks off
The 2020 Taiwan International Human Rights Film Festival kicked off on Sept. 4 and the carefully-tailored themes and screening events invite people from all over Taiwan to reflect on human rights-related issues.
Southeast Asian culture events in southern Taiwan
A series of events, including talks and forum on folklore from Southeast Asia, are set to take place in Tainan from Sept. 5 to Nov. 7, with the aim to cultivate appreciation of Southeast Asia' culture in Taiwan.
 "Celebrating Matsu" by Lin Chih-hsin exhibited in Taipei
A 124-meter-long woodcut print dedicated to the sea goddess Matsu, is now available for viewing at the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall in Taipei from Sept. 4 to Nov. 29, an ongoing exhibition of Lin Chih-hsin's representative artworks.

Gordon Shi-Wen Chin is a renown conductor, musicologist, and composer with the largest number of commissioned works for groups in Taiwan. Founded in 1997, Taipei Li-yuan Peking Opera Theatre is a well-known performing troupe. To promote the traditional opera and entice modern opera aficionados, the troupe's New Old Operas series, which are reinvented from traditional opera classics with contemporary elements.
