Taiwan-based Hong Kong writer Gigi L. Leung has been invited to the 21st PEN World Voices Festival of International Literature, joining a prestigious 2026 lineup that brings together over 140 writers from more than 40 countries.
Taiwanese artist Chang Ling’s solo exhibition “If My Homeland” was inaugurated at ODRADEK Residence XL in Brussels, Belgium, on Apr. 16 and runs through May 15. 
With support from the Ministry of Culture and the Cultural Division of the Taipei Representative Office in Germany, “Taiwan Echoes of Democracy: Photo Exhibition” will take place in Berlin from May 6 to 16.

Building on the success of Taiwan Culture in Europe 2025, the Ministry of Culture will expand this year’s edition across more than 10 European countries, presenting a series of events that highlight human rights.

The Museum of Taiwan History (NMTH) hosted the opening ceremony of “Asia on the Field: Taiwan and the Asian Games Special Exhibition” on May 6, launching the country’s first national exhibition dedicated to the Asian Games.

On Apr. 29, the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts (NTMoFA) unveiled the theme of the 2026 Asian Art Biennial. NTMoFA Director Chen Kuang-yi, curator Lu Pei-yi (呂佩怡), and featured artists gathered for the announcement at a press conference.

Ding Pao-yen, also known by his pseudonym Morning Anxiety, has been passionate about art since childhood and pursued it wholeheartedly. He enrolled in the Fine Arts Department at National Kaohsiung Normal University, where he eventually completed both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees.

Located beside the Penghu Tianhou Temple, the oldest Mazu temple in Taiwan, the Hung Ken-shen Art Museum building bears rich historical significance. Constructed during the Qing dynasty over three hundred years ago, it originally served as a government office and magistrate.
