Taiwan-Okinawa festival kicks off in eastern Taiwan
Taking place annually in different host cities across eastern Taiwan and Okinawa, the H.O.T. Island Music Festival offers live concerts, workshops, and forums as well as events on indigenous cultures to promote friendship and cultural exchanges.
Taipei exhibition to showcase classic wuxia comics
In the lead-up to the Taiwan Comic Base's formal opening, the Ministry of Culture is holding a special exhibition titled "Comic Combat — Taiwanese Comics Time Machine" to bring back to life the earliest days of Taiwan's wuxia comics.

Panai Kusui is an indie artist whose music is rooted in her indigenous heritage and personal story. With melancholic lyrics and rhythm, her deep vocals strum one's emotional heartstrings. She is also an activist who spares no effort in promoting indigenous rights and increasing awareness of social issues through music.

Yuan Goang-ming is a pioneering video installation artist who is celebrated for his ability to evoke contemplation on human existence in the modern world through simple and poetic images. His works have been featured in numerous exhibitions including Venice Biennale, Liverpool Biennial, and Biennale de Lyon.
