With support from the Taiwan Cultural Center in Paris, the Swiss Cinematheque is hosting the “Taiwanese New Waves” screening program from Nov. 1 to Dec. 31. It features 21 films across 48 screenings, tracing the evolution of Taiwanese cinema.
With support from the Ministry of Culture and the Taiwan Academy in Houston, the exhibition “Breaking Ground: Art and Activism in Indigenous Taiwan” opened on Aug. 16 at the IAIA Museum of Contemporary Native Arts (MoCNA) in Santa Fe, U.S.
With support of the Cultural Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Thailand, River City Bangkok is hosting the international graffiti exhibition “Graffiti Social Club.” Opened on Oct. 9, the exhibition will be on view through Jan. 4, 2026.

The National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts (NTMoFA) announced the 2025 additions to “My Home, My Art Museum: Biographies of Taiwanese Artists” and “Documentaries of Distinguished Taiwanese Artists” at a press conference on Dec. 3.

The National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra presented the concert “Wen-Pin Chien & NTSO” on Nov. 29 as part of its 80th-anniversary celebrations. Led by conductor Wen-Pin Chien, the performance unites five major Taiwanese orchestras on one stage.

The National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts hosted its international residency achievement showcase on Nov. 29. The event featured Polish curator and art historian Jan Elantkowski.
Cultural Features
Based in Tainan, New Visions New Voices (NVNV) Theatre Company builds its brand on rich creative contents and cross-disciplinary collaborations. The troupe has launched numerous projects, including music theater, oral history theater, environmental theater, and Taigi theater.

Dalongdong — the name of a region in the northern Taipei Plain where the Danshui and Keelung Rivers meet — was likely originally a Basay indigenous settlement by the name of Pourompon. Construction on Bao'an Temple, meanwhile, began in 1804, with the arduous task undertaken in phases over the course of 25 years.
