Before becoming an artist, Lin Pei-ying was a kindergarten teacher. Her journey into entwining art began unexpectedly—when she saw an entwined flower worn by a bride at a wedding banquet. Determined to learn the craft, she traveled to Yilan County to study the works of renowned entwining master Chen Hui-mei.
Located in Shilin District of Taipei City, the Taipei Performing Arts Center is a dedicated performing arts and cultural facility, which has geometrical shapes with a total space area of 50,000 m2. Its construction began in 2012, and the center officially opened in July of 2022.
