The Taipei Cultural Center in New York is collaborating with the Worcester Art Museum (WAM) to present the exhibition “Lee Mingwei: Our Peaceable Kingdom.” Led by artist Lee Mingwei, the exhibition features 42 works by eight Taiwanese artists.
In partnership with the Cultural Division of the Taipei Representative Office in the U.K., the Delfina Foundation is now accepting applications for a 12-week residency in London. 
The Ludwig Museum – Museum of Contemporary Art in Budapest is presenting the exhibition “Before the Storm: Taiwan on the Frontier of Past and Future” through Mar. 29, 2026.

The 2026 Taipei International Book Exhibition (TiBE) is set to take place from Feb. 3 to 8 at the Taipei World Trade Center. Titled “Reading is Amazing,” the exhibition will feature Thailand as the guest of honor this year.

Hosted by the Ministry of Culture (MOC), the inaugural Youth Comic Awards ceremony was held on Jan. 20 at the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park in Taipei, celebrating the creativity and talent of Taiwan’s emerging comic artists.

In conjunction with the “The First Love of the Century: Yang Li-hua and the Taiwanese Opera Exhibition,” launched by the National Center for Traditional Arts, renowned Taiwanese opera icon Yang Li-hua was invited to a fan meeting on Jan. 19. 
Cultural Features
Born Chen Che in 1938, Chiung Yao was a well-known romance author, screenwriter, TV/film producer, and lyricist. She relocated from Sichuan, China to Taiwan with her family in 1949. Profoundly influenced by her parents, both Mandarin teachers, Chiung Yao’s passion for Chinese literature was ignited at a young age.

The Banqiao Broadcasting Station was constructed in 1930 and began its operations in 1931. Designed by Japanese architect Shunichi Kuriyama, the façade of the building emphasizes horizontal lines, which is a typical feature of Taiwanese modernist architecture in the late period of Japanese rule (1895-1945).
