With support from the Ministry of Culture (MOC) and the Cultural Division of the Taipei Representative Office in Germany, “Taiwan Echoes of Democracy: Photo Exhibition” will take place in Berlin from May 6 to 16. 
The Taiwan Cultural Center in Paris, in partnership with French contemporary illustration magazine publisher KIBLIND, is launching an open call for a residency program in France. 
The Taipei Cultural Center in New York, in collaboration with the International Society for Performing Arts (ISPA), is now accepting applications for the ISPA Taiwan Fellowship 2027-2029 through June 5.

The National Taiwan Museum (NTM) launched “The Memory of Objects – Family Heirlooms, Donations, and Renewal” on May 12, featuring significant artifacts and specimens donated by the public.

The documentary film “Daughter of Nectar,” co-directed by Lin Chun-ni and Huang Pang-chuan will screen nationwide from May 15, tracing the history of sculpture by late Taiwanese sculptor Huang Tu-shui.

Cinematographer and film director Lai Cheng-ying passed away on Apr. 18 at the age of 96. At his funeral service on May 8, Minister of Culture Li Yuan presented a presidential citation in honor of the late filmmaker.

Born in 1957, Lin studied visual design at the Department of Fine Arts of National Taiwan Normal University, where he later earned a master’s degree. With decades of experience in corporate identity systems and poster design, Lin is regarded as one of the most iconic figures in Taiwan’s visual design industry.
