The Cultural Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Thailand launched the “Picture Books from Taiwan” series at the Bangkok International Book fair (BKKIBF), spotlighting four acclaimed Taiwanese picture book authors.
With support from the Ministry of Culture (MOC), the Taipei Cultural Center in New York has partnered with Pioneer Works to present the exhibition “The Endless Garment: Atlantic Basin.” 
The Thailand Biennale 2025, opening through Apr. 30, features Taiwan-based Malaysian film director Tsai Ming-liang and Taiwanese new media artist Wu Chi-yu.

The 2026 International Booker Prize shortlist was announced on Mar. 31. Among the six finalists is “Taiwan Travelogue,” written by Yang Shuang-zi and translated by Lin King.

Taipei Fashion Week AW26 wrapped up on Mar. 29 after a packed four-day program. The Ministry of Culture (MOC) has announced that the next edition, slated for the second half of the year, will be held at the Taiwan Contemporary Culture Lab.

The National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts (NTMoFA) inaugurated the international exhibition “Instance Dungeons and Sights” on Mar. 28, featuring 15 artists from Taiwan and abroad.

After graduating from a vocational high school in 1987 with a major in fine art, Wang began his career as an art and poster designer at a department store, later moving on to work at an advertising company. A turning point came when he met Lu Ming-chin, the art director of Hou Hsiao-hsien’s film “The Puppetmaster.”

Opened to the public since June 2024, the Hengchun Cultural Center Folk Songs Museum serves as a cultural hub for the local community. It offers a space for cultural and historical practitioners to promote and preserve the legacy of Hengchun folk songs.
