The Taichung-based National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts will present the "35th New Year Prints Exhibition of R.O.C.: A Flourishing Year of the Rat" from Dec. 28, 2019 through April 12, 2020 to introduce prize-winning works from its annual zodiac-themed prints competition.
An exhibition showcasing the collections, manuscripts, and newspaper clippings of Hong Kong's prominent literary figures such as late wuxia novelist Louis Cha and late poet Leung Ping-kwan will take place at the Tainan-based National Museum of Taiwan Literature from Jan. 17 through May 24.
Writer Wu Ming-yi's short story collection "The Illusionist on the Skywalk" has been adapted into a two-volume graphic novel by two comic artists. To mark the launch of the graphic novel, an interactive art exhibition will be on view at the Taipei-based Taiwan Comics Base from Jan. 17 to Feb. 15.
The "Exhibition of Taiwan Beiguan Arts" curated by the National Center for Traditional Arts brings together over 350 relics of Beiguan music from across Taiwan. As the biggest exhibition focused on Beiguan arts in recent times, it is slated for Dec. 7, 2019 to May 23, 2021 at the NCFTA's Yilan Park.
