TAIWAN, GERMANY LITERARY EXCHANGE PROGRAM

Nine Taiwan-based writers will be sent to Germany over the next three years as part of a partnership program between the Ministry of Culture and the Literarisches Colloquium Berlin.


TAIWAN TO PROMOTE CREATIVE DESIGN

Taiwan will participate in the Ambiente Frankfurt, the world’s largest and longest-running consumer goods trade fair, with “Fresh Taiwan Pavilion,” where 15 featured brands will collectively promote Taiwan’s design aesthetics.


2015 TIBE: KEY FIGURES & STATISTICS

Over 560,000 people visited the 2015 Taipei International Book Exhibition during its six-day run, representing a growth of 10 percent in comparison to last year’s attendance numbers.


ACCELERATE@CERN: OPEN CALL

To promote cross-field cooperation in science and the arts, the Republic of China (Taiwan) Ministry of Culture and the European Council for Nuclear Research (CERN) have come together to create Accelerate@CERN TAIWAN.


'SUTRA'

Kaohsiung’s Wei-Wu-Ying Center for the Arts will play host to a contemporary dance performance featuring renowned Belgian choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui and seventeen Shaolin monks in early March.


'THE CANNING STOCK ROUTE EXHIBITION'

A traveling exhibition from Australia will showcase aboriginal art inspired by the world’s longest historic stock route, the Canning Stock Route, at the National Taiwan Museum from Feb. 6 through March 29, 2015.


'THE ARTIST & CELEBRITY'

“The Artist and Celebrity: Long Chin-san Photography Memorial Exhibition on the 20th Anniversary of His Death” in February will put on display more than 50 of his photography works in Taipei.


'LET IMAGINATIONS SOAR'

The best selection of illustrations submitted to the 51st Bologna Children’s Book Fair will be displayed at a special National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall exhibition from Valentine’s Day through April 6, 2015.


'YEAR OF THE GOAT'

The Taichung Cultural and Creative Park will provide a series of performances ranging from folk parades, Taiwanese opera, and hand puppet shows to dance performances during the upcoming holidays from Feb. 19 through 23.


'JOYFUL GOATS GREET SPRING'

The National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts in Taichung will be offering a series of Lunar New Year events to add some fun to the upcoming holidays. Admission to all areas of the museum except for the Laurencin exhibition will be free.
