The Megaport Festival (大港開唱) returned to the stages of the Kaohsiung Music Center and The Pier-2 Art Center on April 1 and 2, drawing in music enthusiasts to revel in the celebration that featured Taiwanese bands Flesh Juicer (血肉果汁機), The Shine&Shine&ShineShine (閃閃閃閃), and TRASH; as well as international musicians such as Korean band Balming Tiger, Japanese bands ALI, Bradio, STUTS, and Crystal Lake, marking the resumption of international music exchanges after the pandemic.

Culture Minister Shih Che attended the festival on the first day and emphasized that "creation" is the base of the music industry, and that live performance is a crucial element in helping emerging Taiwanese artists take their first step into the market and reach out to music fans.

In recent years, the flourishing development of music festivals in Taiwan has made it one of the best platforms for music creators to directly interact with audiences during their performances. The MOC not only supports music creation and production through various awards and subsidies, but also encourages the industry to diversify its online participation and use new media marketing strategies to reach a wider potential fan base. The charm of experiencing live performances is irreplaceable therefore the Ministry is taking active measures to promote and provide financial support for the popular music industry, encouraging the industry to organize music festival events that facilitate overseas performances for new artists to showcase their talents.

Megaport is a music festival located in the southern Taiwanese city, Kaohsiung. Since its inaugural edition in 2006, the event has become the biggest rock festival in Taiwan from 20 artists between three stages to over 100 artists throughout ten stages.
