2015 winners of Taiwan's top publishing awards

Minister of Culture Hung Meng-chi (洪孟啟) presided over the 39th Golden Tripod Awards for Publications on June 2, handing out awards for winners in 22 categories at an afternoon ceremony at the Taipei Zhongshan Hall.


The special contribution award went to Ho Cheng-kuang (何政廣), founder of Artist Magazine (藝術家) and Artist Publishing Co. Ho was praised by the judges for his dedication to art publications and cultural education in Taiwan over the past four decades.


The CommonWealth Magazine Group (天下雜誌) captured six awards this year, including the top prizes for best digital innovation, best financial magazine, best education and learning magazine, and best photography. It also shared the top spots in the best children's and young adult book categories.


INK Literary Monthly (印刻文學生活誌) and its publishing company, Sudu (舒讀), carried off four awards, including best arts and humanities magazine, best columns and commentary, and two best literature book awards.


The 39th edition of the Golden Tripod Awards received 1,403 submissions in the three categories of magazines, books, and digital publications. The winning works will receive a spot in the annual Taipei International Book Exhibition, as well as inclusion in the Ministry of Culture's reading promotion programs across the nation.
