Ministry of Culture invites arts & culture circles to join economic stimulus program

The Ministry of Culture has invested NT$1.2 billion to issue 2 million booklets of "Arts FUN Go" vouchers, valued at NT$600 each booklet, to encourage domestic cultural and arts consumption and to help boost cultural and arts industries as the pandemic is subsiding.

The "Arts FUN Go" voucher program, a supplementary measure of the "Triple Stimulus Vouchers" program launched by the Executive Yuan on July 15, is estimated to generate NT$5 billion in value from domestic cultural and arts consumption.

Users can find the nearby cultural establishments and shops of their choices where they can use their vouchers from the map in the "Arts FUN Go" smartphone App. Payment is made with a scan of QR code.

Designed for cultural and arts consumption and not confined by district, the "Arts FUN Go" vouchers will be accepted by cultural establishments, including museums, local cultural centers, community performance spaces, cultural heritage sites, artifacts workshops, music and arts venues, cultural parks, creative clusters, bookstores (publishing houses), records or musical instruments shops, cinemas, online ticket selling platforms for arts and culture events, arts and cultural organizations that sells tickets and peripheral products of related events. Business agencies, organizations or individual, with ample tax records are welcomed to participate in the "Arts FUN Go" voucher program.

Businesses wishing to be included in the program can register their details on the "Arts FUN Go" website. A notice of inclusion will be made within three working days, when the application is approved. Additionally, an especially designed system for daily tallying and weekly remuneration will streamline the process by which registered businesses can apply for and receive the voucher funds.

It is expected that the "Arts FUN Go" vouchers and arts and cultural transactions generated by the Cabinet-issued "Triple Stimulus Vouchers" will inject NT$25 billion to NT$30 billion into the cultural and arts industries. The Ministry of Culture encourages businesses from the arts and cultural sectors to sign up for the voucher program, and to accept both the "Arts Fun Go" vouchers and the Cabinet-issued "Triple Stimulus Vouchers,” providing more consumption incentives.
