Exhibitions and special events to celebrate the Year of the Tiger

In anticipation of the upcoming Lunar New Year holidays, the Ministry of Culture's affiliated venues have organized various exhibitions and special events.

The events include "Imaging Indigene, Han Taiwanese, and Royalty in Collection: A NPM, NTM, and NMTH Joint Exhibition" at National Taiwan Museum (NTM); "2022 Taiwan International Light Festival” and “The 37th New Year Prints Exhibition of R.O.C. – Joyful Tiger Harvesting Happiness” at National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts (NTMoFA); “Calculating × Destiny: Divination in Europe and Taiwan” at National Musuem of Taiwan History (NMTH); "Bowing and Gazing at the Archaeology Heritage: The Modernology at Tainan Science Park" at Taiwan Museum of Prehistory (NMP); and "A Gentle Breeze: Aura and Inspiration in Photography and Literature” at National Center of Photography and Images, Taipei (NCPI), among others.

Special events during the New Year include "Lucky Tiger Welcomes New Year" (Feb. 1-6), "Tiger Arrives 2022 Festival Marketplace" (Feb. 2-6) at the Cultural Heritage Park, Spring Festival event (Feb. 2-6) at National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute (NTCRI), "Literary Fight" (Feb. 5-6) at Taiwan Literature Base (TLB), and a storytelling activity "Who fears the Tiger?" (Feb. 5-6) at NTMoFA.

When visiting cultural venues, visitors can scan the store's QR code through the "Arts FUN NEXT app," and have the opportunity to win prizes. Students who spend more than NTD$1,000 in a single transaction on one of nine coupon platforms associated with MOC can receive a 10% discount, NTD$100 discount, NTD$100 discount coupon or rebate.

The Ministry of Culture stated that in addition to requiring all venues to implement epidemic prevention measures, it also calls on the public to wear masks throughout the visit, follow through with the real-name registration system, personal health management so as to jointly safeguard the health and artistic life of the nation.
