Painter Chen Yin-huei (陳銀輝), belonging to the first post-war generation of lyrical abstractionists, passed away on Jan. 8 at the age of 93. Culture Minister Shih Che expressed condolences upon hearing the news, noting that, in addition to constantly innovating his artistic creations, Chen Yin-huei also made significant contributions to art education in the country.
