NMTL presents ‘United Nations of Stories'

The National Museum of Taiwan Literature (NMTL) is currently hosting the “2024 United Nations of Stories (故事聯合國)” program from Apr. 20 to Oct. 26. This program aims to share picture books and stories from around the world with children in the country.

Launched in 2001, the “United Nations of Stories” program is organized by the NMTL to promote picture books created by Taiwanese and international artists. Its goal is to highlight multiculturalism among children aged 3 to 12 years old. Anticipating the upcoming Paris Summer Olympics and Taiwan’s sports literature exhibition, this program features the theme of sports this year, split into various aspects of sports such as “Stories of Athletes,” “Sportsmanship,” “Sports and Life,” and “Sports Competitions,” among others.

In collaboration with many international partners, including the Kaohsiung Branch of the American Institute in Taiwan, the Argentina Trade and Cultural Office, the Canadian Trade Office in Taipei, the Embassy of Saint Lucia, the French Office in Taipei, the Indonesia Economic and Trade Office to Taipei, the Taipei Office of the Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association, and Fulbright Taiwan, this program presents 26 storytelling sessions, featuring picture books from ten different countries.
