‘Blue Sky Art Exhibition’ featuring the R.O.C. Air Force

The Armed Forces Golden StatueAwards for Literature and Arts and the Air Force's Blue Sky Art Exhibition is scheduled for Aug. 8 through 18 at the National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall's De-Ming Gallery.



Now in its 27th year, the exhibition will mark both the 55th anniversary of the 823ArtilleryBattle on Kinmen and the 76th anniversary of the 1937 aerial battle victory on Aug. 14 during the Second Sino-Japanese War.



The exhibited artworks are in line with the awards' objectives of promoting the nation's glorious history and highlighting the Armed Forces' selfless valor. The Golden Statue Awardsalso hopeto raise public awareness on national defense issues while installing the appreciation of arts among those who serve in the military.



The annual Blue Sky Art exhibition is the public presentation of the creative works produced by the Air Force. Co-organized by the memorial hall and the Air Force Command Headquarters, the opening ceremony for Blue Skywill be held on Aug. 9.
