'Legend — Teresa Teng'

Address:No. 21, Zhongshan South Rd., Zhongzheng District, Taipei City, Taiwan

In the loving memory of Taiwanese pop diva Teresa Teng, one of Asia's brightest singers who passed away in 1995, a special exhibition titled "Legend —Teresa Teng” will be held at the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall in Taipei City.

The three-month event, which coincides with what would have been her 60th birthday, features memorabilia, concert outfits, video footage and interactive displays that are sure to please her fans from around the world.

Named one of the top seven female singers of 1986 by Time magazine, Teng retains her hold on the Chinese-speaking world even today. For example, eighteen years after her death, her eponymous single "The Moon Represents My Heart” was voted the top song out of all the musical releases from the first centennial of the Republic of China.

As a tribute to her penchant for butterflies, the six-section exhibition is decorated in a butterfly theme, according to the event organizers. The exhibition also grants free entry to all those who share the same birth year —1953 —as the eternal songstress.
