Did You Know That … ?
- Kuo Hsueh-hu (郭雪湖) held his first overseas exhibition in the Philippines in 1952. It was a joint exhibition in Manilla featuring 44-year-old Kuo and revered painters Li Shih-chiao (李石樵) and Yang San-lang (楊三郎).
- He spent two months sketching Thai heritage sites in 1955, and embarked on a trip to Japan in 1956.
- He completed a fifty-piece set on China's most-famous scenery in 1979, and began a new fifty-piece set on North America's iconic sites and landscapes in 1981 at the age of 73.
