- As the daughter of acclaimed ceramist Su Shih-hsiung (蘇世雄), Su Hsiao-meng (蘇小夢) draws inspiration from her surroundings and daily life as well, using metals and semi-precious gems to weave her memories.
- Like her father, who indiscriminately studied pottery-making and kiln-firing techniques from world literature, the younger Su believes that the key to reviving Taiwan's crafts industry lies in combining Western skills with Asian aesthetics.
- Her applauded "Compound (複合體)” series feature ordinary objects ensnared in uneven silver mesh nets, as if the nets were simple organic beings that were in the process of self-repair.
