Did You Know That … ?
- Chang Kuang-bin is best known for formulating the distinctive "pointillistic texture of charred ink and dry strokes” painting style that characterize his later works.
- The master calligrapher prefers to use a goat-hair brush instead of using a brush with firmer fur.
- His calligraphy scripts and artworks are dignified, gentle, plain, and colored by a stylistic sense of blunt crudeness. The seemingly coarse presentation contains genuine spirituality and primitive emotions unblemished by embellishments.
