Publishing | Taipei International Book Exhibition

As the sole heir of traditional Chinese writing and literature, Taiwan aims to promote the language and its characters on a domestic and an international scale, to market Taiwan's publications to the Chinese-speaking world, and to introduce Taiwan's mature and liberal publishing environment to the global community.

Through the establishment of the Taipei International Book Exhibition (TIBE) in 1987, we help Taiwanese writers and publishers enter the global market, establish copyright and brokerage systems, and promote the love of reading among all fairgoers.

As Asia's top literary and publishing exchange platform, #TIBE2018 attracted a total of 530,000 visitors and 684 publishers from 60 nations. A daily average of 200 events were held at the fair.

Starting in 2018, exhibition hours have been extended to 10pm on weekends to accommodate different work schedules. Free entry is offered to those below the age of 18. New additions to the annual book-centric festivities include AR products and a deeper emphasis on independent publications and original materials from Taiwan.
