2021 Taipei Fashion Week SS22 kicks off on Oct. 7

"2021 Taipei Fashion Week SS22" was launched on the night of Oct. 7, with multiple groups of artists and designers collaborating to create an exciting opening show. Using 5G network services to connect fashion shows and art performances, the event presented the real-time shows in different places to provide a new immersive experience.

Culture Minister Lee Yung-te pointed out that the most important breakthrough point of this year's Taipei Fashion Week is the combination of fashion and art, coupled with the display of technology.

Lee noted that another important feature of the fashion week is the participation of stars in the film and television industry, which enhances the visibility of Taiwan's fashion industry. He expresses his hope that the Taipei fashion week gets better year by year, not only bringing the fashion industry into people's lives, but also help it venture onto the world stage.

The opening show was hosted by artist Mickey Huang (黄子佼), who wore costumes designed by artist Paul Chiang (江賢二) and JUST IN XX designer Justin Chou (周裕穎).

Other artists, such as Lo Te-chia (羅得嘉), Chen Ching-lin (陳景林), Sandra Ma (馬毓秀), Wu Tung-lung (吳東龍), Tseng Tin-yuan (曾鼎元), Chiang Kai-chun (江凱群), cooperated with brands AUSTIN.W, C JEAN, #DAMUR, INF, and UUIN, respectively.

Artists Wanfang (萬芳), Karen Hu (胡小禎), Han Ning (韓寧), rap singer Gil G and others were also invited to comment on the fashion aesthetics of various clothing brands. Wanfang wore a clothing designed by AUSTIN.W designers Wu Tzu-yun (吳日云) and Billy (羅得嘉) on stage.

When the costume show at Taipei 101's Ambi Space One was coming to an end, Songshan Cultural and Creative Park invited singer Tanya Chua (蔡健雅) to perform songs in costumes designed by JUST IN XX.
