Taiwan Creative Content Fest to explore international channels for Taiwanese content

The 3rd Taiwan Creative Content Fest (TCCF), a key B2B content marketplace in Asia, held its opening ceremony on Nov. 9. The seven-day event, which began on Nov. 3, is currently available online and offline, featuring four programs of pitching, market, innovations and forum, with the aim of driving collaboration between homegrown and foreign talents.

Addressing the ceremony, Culture Minister Lee Yung-te stated that Taiwan is a country that has freedom of artistic expression and he is confident that the nation will become the center for all aspects of the global Chinese film, television, and publication industry. In addition, the government has made various efforts to raise more funds for creators, and at the same time, it also amended the law to attract more private enterprises to join the cultural content industry.

Minister Lee also said that MOC will continue to encourage more cross-border collaboration and explore international channels for Taiwanese content. In recent years, the TCCF has not only gathered domestic partners, but as Taiwan opens its borders, more international professionals are coming to Taiwan, he added.

According to Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA), more than 130 domestic and international companies will attend the Market segment to exhibit nearly 800 titles. The Forum segment consists of "Industry Talk" and "Spotlight" and invites film and TV professionals from home and abroad to discuss topics like trends in international film and TV co-production. Spotlight is a new addition to TCCF and is open to professionals only, looking into a more in-depth conversation. The Innovations segment features an exhibition on immersive contents and works combining culture and technology usage.

TCCF is a key content marketplace in Asia, gathering top multi-genre entertainment content from Taiwan, and bringing buyers and professionals from over 20 countries to Taipei every year.
