Taiwanese rock band Monkey Pilot (猴子飛行員) beat four strong contenders on Saturday to win the Golden Melody Best Band award for its album 'Big Child' at the 24th Golden Melody Awards.
'Rock 'n' roll!' the band's lead singer Tony Wang (王湯尼) yelled during his acceptance speech.
'Thank you God, thank you my family, thank you judges for your kindness,' he said.
Monkey Pilot defeated Lie Gramophone (謊言留聲機) for 'Future Primitive,' Matzka for '089,' io for 'Is the World Crazy, Or Is It Just Me?' and My Skin Against Your Skin (激膚樂團) for its album of the same name.
