‘Lin Mao-ying Photography’

Taiwanese entrepreneur Lin Mao-ying's photography exhibition will run from Sept. 11 through Sept. 29 at the National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall.

The former president of both the Photographic Society of China and the Olympus Digital Image Society, Lin enjoys taking pictures of natural scenery and documenting different landscapes and foreign cultures when he travels abroad. He will be displaying selected photos from his personal collection at the September exhibition.

Born in scenic Wulai in New Taipei City, Lin grew up in an environment close to nature and attained a sharp eye for beautiful scenery. During his decades of photo shootings, Lin often traveled abroad to take pictures of scenery in different seasons, such as the snow-capped terrain in the polar regions, the scenic autumn landscape in Europe and America, historic buildings in the spring and night views under the starry summer sky.

While capturing natural beauty with his lens, Lin is also concerned about the damage civilization has wrought to the environment. "We are so insignificant in front of Mother Nature, yet we mankind do not know how to cherish it. We continue to damage the one Earth we have. As part of the global community, we need to come together to protect the globe,” Lin stressed.
