The Taiwan Cultural Center in Tokyo launched Taiwanese photographer Hsieh San-tai’s solo exhibition “The Streets as Theater, Bonfire Island, Untold Herstory” on Oct. 3, presenting Taiwan’s human right movements to Japanese audiences. 
The Cultural Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Spain will host the digital art exhibition “Echoes from Taiwan” at the Cuartel de Artillería de Murcia from Oct. 3 to Nov. 14, featuring eight Taiwanese artists. 
Selected by the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts (NTMoFA), the National Cheng Kung University Architecture Departments project, “NON-Belief: Taiwan Intelligens of Precarity,” will represent Taiwan at the 19th Venice Architecture Biennale.

The Ministry of Culture (MOC) hosted the 16th Golden Comic Awards (GCA) presentation ceremony on Oct. 23 at the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, presenting seven awards with a total prize money of NT$2.75 million.

Minister of Culture Li Yuan traveled to Tainan City on Oct. 29 to inspect the impact of recent disasters, such as Typhoon Danas and the July 28 torrential rainfall, on the city’s architectural heritage.

“Island at the Crossroads: Literary Map of Taiwan”, edited by Táňa Dluhošová, director of the Oriental Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences, was presented on Oct. 27 at the Inspiration Forum of the Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival. 
Cultural Features
The Nou-Li Community Interchange Association is based in the Fengtian area of Shoufeng Township, a village initially established by the Japanese during the colonial period. Over the years, this region has become a melting pot of cultures, attracting residents from various ethnic backgrounds.

The Old Fongshan City, founded in the Kangxi era of the Qing Dynasty, is located in what is now Kaohsiung City’s Zuoying District. It was the first seat of government for Fengshan County after the Qing government began taking control over the island, as well as being home to the first earthen city wall in Taiwan.
