With support from the Taiwan Cultural Center in Paris, Taiwanese curator River Lin and Indigenous choreographer Fangas Nayaw have been invited to participate in the FORUM of the 21st Lyon Dance Biennale in France.
The Taiwan Cultural Center in Tokyo launched its annual exhibition “Colorful – Diversity in Taiwanese Manga” on Aug. 22. 
The National Taiwan Museum (NTM), in collaboration with the National Technical Museum of the Czech Republic, inaugurated the exhibition “Taiwan’s Heritage: Traditions and Techniques of the Indigenous Hunters and Seamen” on Apr. 15.

On the final day of his European tour, Minister of Culture Li Yuan traveled to Brno. He attended the signing ceremony of an agreement Cultural Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Prague and the Moravian Library.

The Taiwan Academy in Los Angeles is collaborating with the American Literary Translators Association (ALTA) to host the ALTA Emerging Translator Mentorship Program. Applications are open until Nov. 30.

The Ministry of Culture announced that tenun kana Pinuyumayan (Puyuma traditional weaving) has been recognized as an important traditional craft of Taiwan, with Sunay Paelabang designated as its preserver.

At 18, Yang joined a girls’ idol group, but the group later disbanded due to limited performing opportunities and the bankruptcy of their management company. She then shifted her focus to acting. In 2002, she joined the cast of “My Secret Garden,” which went on to become a classic Taiwanese drama.

Situated in the northwestern corner of Hsinchu Park, the Glass Museum of Hsinchu City is housed in the former Hsinchu Civic Hall, which was constructed in 1936 during the period of Japanese rule. A two-story reinforced concrete building, the Hsinchu Civic Hall was designed by Seigo Teshima.
