"Night Bus," an animated short film by director Joe Hsieh, has been selected as one of 59 short films from 26 countries in the "International Animation Short Films" program to be screened at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival scheduled for Jan. 20 to 30 next year.
Unearthed after half a century, two feature films "I Didn’t Dare To Tell You" and "The End of the Track" by Taiwanese pioneer director Mou Tun-fei will be screened online at the Harvard Film Archive Virtual Cinematheque from Jan. 21 to 30.
In-person activities in Vancouver include an outdoor exhibition "The Lantern City," displaying Taiwanese artist Lady Hao Hao's art installation "West End Wishes," and one music concert. The virtual programs include children's lantern workshops, culinary programs, fortune-telling, and acrobatics.

Arts & Business Awards awarded to patrons of the arts
The Ministry of Culture gave out 151 contribution awards and 19 special awards at the 15th Arts and Business Awards ceremony to corporate sponsors and individual donors whose patronage of the arts exceeded a total of NT$2 billion this year.
Artworks displayed at comics festival to celebrate Taiwan-Japan friendship
Comic artworks expressing friendship between Taiwan and Japan will be displayed at this year's Taipei International Comics & Animation Festival, and these works were created by Taiwanese manga artists in response to the works of famous Japanese cartoonists during the 10th anniversary of the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake last year.
Exhibitions & events to celebrate the Year of the Tiger
In anticipation of the upcoming Lunar New Year holidays, MOC's affiliated venues have organized various exhibitions and special events. MOC stated that in addition to requiring all venues to implement epidemic prevention measures, it also calls on the public to wear masks throughout the visit, follow through with the real-name registration system, personal health management.
Cultural Features
Animo Chen, whose real name is Chen Yung-kai, has tried his hand at a variety of fields, including illustration, comics, and animation. In 2020, he became the first Taiwanese artist to win the BolognaRagazzi Award for comics for young people at Italy's Bologna Book Fair for his comic book "The Short Elegy" and won the Jury Prize in the Poetry Category for his Taiwanese-language poetry picture book "Love Letter" next year.

Hebe Tien is a Taiwanese singer, television host, and actor, as well as a member of the iconic girl group S.H.E. She released her first solo album in 2010, showcasing a fiercely unique musical style. In 2020, Hebe Tien released her fifth solo album, entitled "Time Will Tell." The album saw her win the Best Female Mandarin Singer award at the 32nd Golden Melody Awards, finally truly securing her place among the top divas of contemporary Mandarin pop.
