The Cultural Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Spain will host the digital art exhibition “Echoes from Taiwan” at the Cuartel de Artillería de Murcia from Oct. 3 to Nov. 14, featuring eight Taiwanese artists. 
Selected by the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts (NTMoFA), the National Cheng Kung University Architecture Departments project, “NON-Belief: Taiwan Intelligens of Precarity,” will represent Taiwan at the 19th Venice Architecture Biennale.
The Swiss Cinematheque is hosting the “Taiwanese New Waves” screening program from Nov. 1 to Dec. 31. It features 21 films across 48 screenings, tracing the evolution of Taiwanese cinema from the 1980s to the 2000s.

The 2025 Taiwan Literature Awards (TLA) for Books winners were unveiled on Oct. 31. “Lightning in July” by Lin Chun-ying won the Annual Golden Grand Laurel Award, while seven works received Golden Book Award, and two received the New Bud Award.

The 2025 International Conference on Cultural Accessibility and Social Inclusion (CASI 2025) was held from Oct. 31 to Nov. 1 at the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts (NTMoFA) in Taichung City.

Japan’s Good Design Award 2025 held its presentation ceremony on Nov. 4, announcing that the Taiwan Yuan-Li Handiwork Association has received both the Good Design Best100 and the Good Focus Award [New Business Design].
Cultural Features
The Indigenous Film Academy of Taiwan is the first educational institution in Asia dedicated to supporting and nurturing Indigenous filmmakers. It has a clear mission: to connect Indigenous film producers across different communities, amplify stories of Indigenous peoples, and foster the exchange of diverse perspectives in filmmaking.

The earliest Han settlers of what is now Dalongdong, Taipei came from Tong'an County in Quanzhou, Fujian Province. In 1807, merchant Chen Xun-yan, under the trading name Yueji, built the Chen Yueji Residence. With Chen's business having accumulated substantial wealth, his family became one of the predominant clans of Dalongdong.
