Taiwanese artists are invited to participate in exhibitions at the Haus der Kunst in Munich, the Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin, and the WRO Media Art Biennale in Poland this year.
Taiwan’s celebrated Indigenous contemporary dance group, Bulareyaung Dance Company (BDC), will make its U.S. debut this summer with a North American tour from Jul. 27 to Aug. 16.
The Cultural Division of the Taipei Representative Office in the U.K., in collaboration with the UK City of Culture initiative, will present the Taiwan Focus program, featuring Taiwanese performing arts groups.

National Railway Museum opens its first phase in Taipei
The Ministry of Culture (MOC) held the opening ceremony of the National Railway Museum (NRM) on July 30, unveiling the museum’s first phase to the public after nine years of restoration and preparation.

The National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts (NTMoFA) held the opening and award presentation ceremonies of the 2025 National Art Exhibition R.O.C. on July 27. The 2025 National Art Exhibition R.O.C. opens through Oct. 12.
NTMoFA co-organizes exhibition with U.S. museum
In an unprecedented collaboration, the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts (NTMoFA) has joined forces with the IAIA Museum of Contemporary Native Arts (IAIA MoCNA) in the United States to present an exhibition on Taiwan's Indigenous arts.

Oo Tiong-siong is one of the most prominent Taigi novelists of the younger generation. He began writing stories in high school, focusing on native literature. His work "The Ship: Huan-Ying-Hao's Mysterious Trip" was the first Taigi novel nominated for the Golden Tripod Awards.

The Xinpingxi Coal Mine Historical Buildings were officially recognized by the New Taipei City Government in December 2024. Established in 1965 and closed in 1997, the coal mine in the Pingxi region serves as a powerful testament to the history of mining in northern Taiwan.
