'Allegory by Ni Tsai-chin: A Memorial Retrospective'

To commemorate the late artist Ni Tsai-chin’s (倪再沁) lifelong contribution to the arts, the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts in Taichung will host a retrospective exhibition in collaboration with Tunghai University from March 26 through June 12.

Curated by independent curator and Tunghai professor Li Szu-hsien (李思賢), the exhibition titled “Allegory by Ni Tsai-chin: A Memorial Retrospective” will present four sessions incorporating different topics to reflect Ni’s art journey.

A total of 143 artworks spanning Chinese paintings, oil paintings, sculptures, publications, manuscripts, seal cuttings, a performance piece, and installation art with environmental and interactive elements will be displayed. These creations will demonstrate Ni’s critical thinking, self-reflection, and his allegories on Taiwan’s society and environment.

More information on the Taichung exhibition can be found here.
