With the support of the Ministry of Culture, National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute (NTCRI) will lead a delegation of outstanding craft artists and bring a number of design brands to Maison & Objet in Paris.
Taiwanese artists present their creations to showcase the close connection between vegetation and human lifestyle at the Rencontres d'Arles, an annual photography festival in France. 
The Taiwan Cultural Center in Japan has once again teamed up with Books Kinokuniya, one of Japan's largest bookstore chains. This year, the "Taiwan Book Fair" will be held at over 33 Books Kinokuniya locations throughout Japan.
Ministry Updates
With the goal of bolstering Taiwan's publishing industry, the Ministry of Culture's new policies on enhancing digital reading and optimizing book procurement for public libraries were announced at a press conference on Sept. 5  
The celebration for the 2023 National Day for Cultural Heritage is set to take place on Sept. 16 and 17 at the Ministry of Culture's Cultural Heritage Park, bringing together 22 cities and counties to present a "National Cultural Heritage Expo."
The Creative Expo Taiwan (CET) 2023 will kick off on Sept. 22, and its IP Theme Hall, scheduled to open at Huashan 1914 Creative Park on Sept. 26, will feature the works of Taiwanese illustrators and comic artists, the Ministry of Culture announced.

Ho Kan is the first generation of modern abstract artist in Taiwan, who studied under the guidance of “Taiwan’s modern art mentor” Li Zhong-sheng. In 1957, he co-founded the Eastern Painting Society with seven fellow painters, and became a representative figure of the Taiwanese Modern Art Movement.
Fongyi Academy, located in Fengshan District, Kaohsiung City, is the largest and most complete Qing Dynasty academy still in existence in Taiwan. It has been carefully restored by the Kaohsiung City Cultural Bureau, preserving its original historical appearance.
