Through Hung Rui-lin's portrayals of the dark and clamorous world of Taiwan's coal mines, the people who worked and died in the dust live on through his art. He was also a skilled portrait artist who painted all the colorful characters he came across.
The late Chang Bi and Lin Min-san, co-founders of Sunrise Records, dedicated decades to recording and promoting Taiwanese artists. Moreover, it was once said that, "If you can't find that record at Sunrise, you won't find it anywhere else in Taiwan."
