The Puppet & Its Double Theater is invited by the Taiwan Academy to tour in the U.S. from May 11 to June 2, for eight shows in three cities – Seattle, Atlanta, and Houston, showcasing their outstanding puppet production "The Selfish Giant". 
Held at the Jim Thompson Art Center in Bangkok, Thailand, the latest exhibition titled "Nomadic" showcases works by eight Asian artists, including two from Taiwan. This exhibition will be on display until June 2.
The Taipei Cultural Center in New York, in collaboration with HarperVia, will launch the English-translated novel "Fang Si-Chi's First Love Paradise" on May 21. TCCNY will tour 4 cities from May 21 to June 5 to introduce this novel to U.S. readers.

During his report to the legislature's Education and Culture Committee on May 22, new Culture Minister Li Yuan emphasized his focus on cultural policymaking, targeting four main aspects: "lifestyle," "awareness," "creativity," and "communication."

In response to the Cabinet's approval of post-earthquake recovery and reconstruction plans for Hualien County, the Ministry of Culture announced on May 21 cultural revitalization and relief measures through the Culture Points program.

The National Human Rights Museum launched the signage system for historical sites of injustice at Green Island White Terror Memorial Park on May 17, commemorating the events that occurred at the "Freshman Orientation Office" and "Green Island Lodge."

Born in the Houbi District of Tainan City, Lin Tsung-fan is a self-taught Yueqin luthier with nearly two decades of experience crafting the traditional instrument. Dedicated to preserving Taiwan's traditional folk practices, he is also a Soul Guiding Song performer, participating in the ritual that guides the soul of the deceased to the afterlife.

As the headquarters of the Jinguangfu Land Reclamation Company during the imperial Qing Dynasty, the Jinguangfu Mansion served as the base of operations for land development in the mountainous regions of present-day Hsinchu County. Its name comprises of three elements — "jin," "guang," and "fu".
