The Taiwan Film Festival Berlin 2023 is open from Sept. 29 to Oct. 8 at the Kino Central, screening multiple award-winning films exploring the concept of "home". The TFFB aims to show Taiwan's cultural diversity to the German audience through films. 
With support from the Taipei Cultural Center, KO Studio is proud to present "Transcendental Visions: Ko Si-Chi's Art Works," a retrospective exhibition of curated photographs by the late Ko Si-Chi, one of Taiwan's foremost photographers.
The Taiwan Cultural Center in Japan has once again teamed up with Books Kinokuniya, one of Japan's largest bookstore chains. This year, the "Taiwan Book Fair" will be held at over 33 Books Kinokuniya locations throughout Japan.

Co-organized by the Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Economic Affairs, and Taipei City Government, Taipei Fashion Week SS24, the greatest fashion event in Taiwan, will open in the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park from Oct. 11 to Oct. 17.

The Creative Expo Taiwan (CET) 2023 ended successfully in Taipei on Oct. 1. The CET 2024 will be hosted in the ancient capital, Tainan, as announced by Culture Minister Shih Che. 2024 marks the 400th year since Taiwan was put on the world map in 1624.

The feature film "A Journey in Spring" directed by Peng Tzu-hui and Wang Ping-wen was awarded the Silver Shell for Best Director at the 71st San Sebastian International Film Festival (SSIFF) on Sept. 30.

Kuo Jen was born in 1926 in Henan, China, and studied at the National Beiping Art School (now the Central Academy of Fine Arts). He was a student of the renowned Chinese modern painter Xu Beihong. In 1949, due to the Chinese Civil War, he came to Taiwan with the retreat of the Nationalist government.

Against Again Troupe was founded in 2002 in Taiwan by a group of theatre practitioners coming from diverse artistic backgrounds. Its earlier productions focused on environmental theater, performance poetry, and multi-media theater, attempting to examine the human condition in the age of globalization.
