The Taiwan Cultural Center in Tokyo and the National Museum of Taiwan Literature are co-hosting the exhibition "Palatable Reads - Literature Seasoned with the Flavors of Taiwan," showcasing the works of 20 Taiwanese writers focusing on food and cuisine.
The Museum of Vancouver inaugurated the photography exhibition "Mirage: Disused Public Property in Taiwan" on May 30, showcasing Taiwanese artist Yao Jui-chung's works exposing Taiwan's "mosquito halls."
The 7th Taiwan Film Festival in Australia, commencing on July 25, will tour six Australian cities – Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane, Hobart, Melbourne, and Adelaide – over two months, showcasing 50 Taiwanese films to cinephiles across Australia.

The Ministry of Culture announced on Aug. 14 that "Old Fox," a film directed by Hsiao Ya-chuan, has been selected to represent Taiwan in the Best International Feature Film category at the 97th Academy Awards.

Noted photographer and curator Suan Hooi-wah passed away on Aug. 12 at the age of 71. Culture Minister Li Yuan expressed his deepest condolences and commended Suan for his pivotal role in promoting photography art and education in the country.

The National Taiwan Museum is hosting "Warriors of the Future - A Sustainable Global Environment Exhibition" in Taipei from Aug. 20 to 31. This exhibition highlights environmental sustainability through interactive installations and role-playing games.

Akio Chen is a Taiwanese actor and scriptwriter who graduated from the National Institute of the Arts (now Taipei National University of the Arts) Theater Department. His career began with stage performances, working closely with the renowned theater companies Ping-Fong Acting Troupe and Lanlin Theatre Troupe.

People who travel the costal highway on Taiwan's northeastern coast will be struck by the sublime beauty of the rugged coast and the lofty cliffs along the highway. The northeastern costal highway offers a view of the vast Pacific Ocean on one side, and the grandeur of majestic mountains on the other side.
