The Puppet & Its Double Theater is invited by the Taiwan Academy to tour in the U.S. from May 11 to June 2, for eight shows in three cities – Seattle, Atlanta, and Houston, showcasing their outstanding puppet production "The Selfish Giant." 
Held at the Jim Thompson Art Center in Bangkok, Thailand, the latest exhibition titled "Nomadic" showcases works by eight Asian artists, including two from Taiwan. The exhibition will be on display until June 2.
The Taipei Cultural Center in New York, in collaboration with HarperVia, will launch the English-translated novel "Fang Si-Chi's First Love Paradise" on May 21. TCCNY will tour 4 cities from May 21 to June 5 to introduce this novel to U.S. readers.

The National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute launched its 70th-anniversary celebrations on May 28, announcing a series of events throughout the year, including "craft pilgrimages," exhibitions, and award ceremonies.

"Mongrel," a transnational film co-directed by Taiwan-based directors Yin You-qiao and Chiang Wei-liang received a Special Mention at the Cannes Film Festival on May 25. Culture Minister Li Yuan expressed congratulations to the production team of the film.

Yawi Nomin, a member of the Atayal community, was born in the Buta Village of Nan'ao Township, Yilan County. Baptized as a Christian at a young age, he entered the Yu-Shan Theological College and Seminary, where he was inspired by Pastor Masegeseg Z. Gadu, an active promoter of Atayal culture.

The story of the Wistaria House is inseparable from one man — Chow Yu, the youngest son of the house's previous tenant David Chow. Serving as the R.O.C. Director-General of Customs, the senior Chow was offered the residence in 1950 by the government and moved in with his family.
